Cannon is 4 years younger than his oldest sister Allie. He has lusted after his sisters best friend Paige for what feels like forever. When Cannon's most recent f*ck buddy falls in love with him and destroys his apartment out of rage, it leads the landlord kicking him out and having no place to stay. Until Allie his sister pleads with her best friend Paige to help him and Cannon moves in for a short 2 months until he figures out which job he wants to take once his medical residency is done.

It's been 5 years since they last saw each other and lets just say Cannon is not the geeky pimply book nerd he used to be when she last saw him. The sexual tension is off the charts instantly and it doesn't help that Paige accidentally finds him naked twice, and is more than pleased with how well endowed he is and his body. After a drunken night and Cannon confessing that every girl he sleeps with falls in love or becomes psycho, Paige decides to test that theory and sleep with him. Plus it would help out her almost year long dry spell. Now she's trying to not fall in love with him, and show that he really isn't cursed.

As time goes on, Cannon is realizing how much he likes living with Paige, and having her to comfort him as devastating situations happen. With the possibility of Cannon's sister finding out, and the friendship of her and Paige could be ruined they are fighting tooth and nail to not be together even though they both know its right and won't tell each other that. Plus Cannon is trying to figure out what is best for his future with being a doctor and that might take him away from Michigan and to another state. He knows how he feels for Paige, but does Paige feel the same or different? Maybe the possibility of being in different states might help them decide.

I enjoyed this dual POV story and always love a good book about a guy who was nerdy and turned extremely hot. The only thing I disliked about the book was the constant need that I wanted for them to actually talk to each other. Each one of them just kept making assumptions and assumed that the other person didn't want something or were okay with how things were going.

Long review with all the spoilers so SPOILER ALERT!

The Prologue. I instantly feel in love with this book. That damn prologue did me in. Even if I have never read anything from Kendall Ryan and didn't already love her writing style and books, I would probably known just by the Prologue that I would enjoy this book! In this amazing Prologue we find out that the main female character is standing over a males body with a can of gasoline and matches. Admitting she loves this man. And even if she knew this is where it would have lead in the end, she still probably would have falling for him.

Cannon Roth is a Med student that is almost done with his training and studies. He believes his dick is cursed in some way because it makes every women fall in love with him. His most recent conquest definitely turned into a psycho! After telling her that he did not believe they were what she called "soulmates" she destroyed his apartment and most of his expensive valuables. The landlord was not happy and told him he needed to find a new place. So Cannon made some new rules 1. Fucking someone would only last one night. 2. No names exchanged and 3. No numbers exchanged either.

Thankfully Cannon's sister, Allie was able to find a new place for him to stay. Unfortunately it might not be the best place. He would have to move in with Paige, his sisters long time best friend. Who he has lusted after ever since he hit puberty and hasn't seen in 5 years.

Paige wasn't too sure about sharing her home with Allie's kid brother. Sure, they all got along growing up, but Cannon was a geeky kid and she hasn't seen him in years. When Cannon shows up at her door, she doesn't even recognize him at first. All she can think about is how hot this man standing at her doorstep is making her.

The first night Cannon takes a shower, forgets his towel in the room and literally runs into Paige. Of course he is naked, and still a little hard after jerking off thinking about her in the shower. On the third day Paige thought she heard Cannon call her name, so she went to his room only to find him jerking off. The two act so nonchalant about all of this. If I was Paige, I would of either A. jumped on Cannon the first time I saw his thick dick swinging between his legs. or B. Made a fool of myself but either running away or talking way to much and stuttering the whole time. Either outcome, I would have been ignoring Cannon like the plague for the rest of the week, if not longer! Later that night they both to go to a Gala with Cannon's sister Allie, acting like they both are not turned on by each other. When they get home after a few drinks and a danced shared together at the Museum Gala, they decide to drink a little more. This is where Cannon tells her about his crazy past experiences with women becoming crazy psycho. Since Paige is drunk she tells him that she has the perfect plan. It's been over a year since she has had sex with a man, and is in a desperate need of some orgasms. He thinks every single time he sleeps with a chick she becomes attached, even if it's only one time or just oral. So she suggests they fuck. No strings attached. She gets her orgasms, and he gets his curse broken. Win win. Except Cannon has a head on his shoulders and tells her yes, but not when she is drunk. He gives her a night to sleep on it.

Obviously even after she gets a full night of sleep and isn't drunk she still wants Cannon. They agree that it will happen Sunday night after he gets off work. Everything is going good. The chemistry and kissing is off the charts. He gives her an amazing orgasm by his hand and fingers and she is beyond ready for the main event. Just as he is inches inside of her, there is knocking on the door. As much as they try to ignore it, they can't. It ends up being Allie, as she just found out that her live-in fiancé has been cheating on her for months! Poor Allie. Although kinda good, because I hope this means that one of the books in the series will be about her.

After a few days of Cannon working nights and them not seeing each other, Paige thinks that them being interrupted might be a sign and for the best. She decides to finally jump on a dating app per Allie's constant insisting. She instantly started chatting with a guy named Daniel and since Cannon would never know since he's working late night shifts she goes out on a date with him. She claims him as bland and no chemistry. Basically she is comparing him to Cannon and every aspect falls short. When he drops her off at home, she notices Cannon's car is in the driveway and freaks out. Daniel the date, tries to kiss her and it becomes weird when she jerks her head and his forehead hits her nose and she gets a nose bleed. Cannon hears the commotion and brings her inside to take care of her. Paige admits that she only went out on the date because she realized this thing with them should not go any further. Cannon disagrees.

Later that night Cannon gets off from his hospital shift earlier than normal and finds himself in Paige's room. He wakes her up to make sure she is okay and ends up falling asleep in her bed. Waking up, she realizes he has some morning wood and the best way to take care of it, is to finally have sex. Which the sex is beyond amazing for both of them. After the deed is done, it's not awkward or weird and things go back to normal for a few days.

A couple days later, Paige admits to Cannon that she has a weird infection on her vagina. As Cannon being a doctor of sorts, he takes a look and tells her she has a latex allergy and can not have sex for a few days. They stay in and watch movies in pajamas while they talk about the fact that she is not in love with him and the curse is broken.

After the infection cleared, Paige became very horny and wanting Cannon again. She goes to him while he is asleep in bed and woke him up to cuddle. Her hands started to wonder and soon enough they were having unprotected sex. After they were done, Cannon said that had to be the last time. That this would mess things up with his sister and her best friend Allie. Paige showed to be fine with it, but as the days went on she realized that she missed him, wanted him, maybe even believed in the curse and might be falling for him.

A few days later Cannon lost a patient at the hospital and called Paige. She rushed to the hospital and was there for him for comfort. It was exactly what he needed and he didn't realize until then how much Paige really meant to him. Later that night they acted like everything was the way before they slept together. Until hours after they went to bed, Cannon found himself laying in Paige's bed for once again comfort. Unfortunately they were woken up early by a phone call from his mom, his and Allie's Stepdad passed away, he had a heart attack in his sleep.

At the funeral, Cannon pulled Paige into the garage and they started to make out. He started taking her clothes off when Paige admitted that maybe now is not the best time. That his Sister and Mom are in the house and maybe they should do this later. Then of course Allie takes that moment to come into the garage. Thankfully she could only see the top half of Paige, and didn't realize that she naked from the bottom half. They acted like they just needed some air, and would be in shortly. Allie seemed to believe it.

Later on Paige left with no sight of Cannon because he was drunk somewhere at his Mom's house. She was awoken by Cannon sometime in the night and him coming into her room. He claimed that he needed her and they started having sex. In the middle of them having sex, Cannon expressed his feelings towards her. "I love you, princess. Always have. Always will. I fought it for the longest time. But now that I’ve had you like this, I can’t go back. Won’t."

Things got a lot more complicated when they wake up. Allie found them in bed the next morning. She was worried about Cannon and came looking for him at the apartment. Paige and Allie went out for coffee to talk because Paige realized that what was said last night from him, he didn't mean. He was drunk and even though she had feelings for him, strong ones, she knew that he didn't mean what he said. Allie of course was upset and needed time to think about things. Her best friend was lying behind her back and sleeping with her younger brother.

In the next chapter we find out that Cannon really did mean what he said to Paige. That he really does love her. He feels like she doesn't love him, and that she was actually using him for sex and that's it. Since she never said those words back to him once he said them. He feels defeated and used, even though that's what he wanted in the beginning, for her to not fall in love with him and it was supposed to be just sex. Cannon finally figured out what kind of doctor he wanted to be, a cardiologist. He was recommended for a position in Denver (they live in Michigan) and he sent in the paperwork for the position. He realized that he loves someone that doesn't love him back so he needs to leave. Like most guys do. They make mistakes or make up their minds without even talking to the person that is involved. He based her feelings after one situation. Of course she wasn't going to tell you her feelings, while you were drunk. Man up, talk to her and you'd realize you're making a mistake and just assuming the worst and running.

Weeks pass by and there is no contact between Cannon and Paige. He didn't even tell her that he was accepted for the job in Denver. One day Paige gets a knock on the door from one of Cannon's "Ex's", Michelle. She was just looking for him and said she needed to speak to him. Since Paige hasn't seen him, she thought nothing of it. Cannon finally contacted her and asked if they could have dinner at their apartment in two days. When the day finally came, that's when the Prologue comes into the story. The apartment door is wide open, there is smoke in the kitchen. She goes to Cannon's room where he seems to be asleep. She finds a gasoline can, matches and a lit candle. Before she can do anything, things go up in flames!

Thankfully Cannon woke up in time and was fine and everything would be okay. Yet this moment was not the moment that made them better, it only made the two of them drift apart more. Cannon flew out to Denver, asked if Paige wanted to see him before he left, but she realized that it would be too hard so she basically said no. She then regretted it and went off to the airport to find him. When she did she found him "flirting" with a blonde that worked at the airport and decided she shouldn't be there.

Two weeks have flown by and Cannon was busy at work in Denver, yet he still missed Paige like no other. His Mother called and told him she learned from his stepdad's passing that life is too short too not be happy. This thankfully jump started Cannon's brain.

When Paige originally found out that Cannon was going to Denver for work she filled out job applications before she had the thought that he didn't want her. Now she was getting calls from a job that was a lot better than her's but she was afraid. After taking her dog for a walk, she checked the mail, only to find a plane ticket to Denver with a sticky note from Cannon. She calls him and he tells her he wants to talk to her in person, that he has some regrets. She tells Allie, and Allie gives her, her blessing finally.

When she gets to Denver they take things slow and talk. Until finally Cannon tell her that he meant what he said that drunken night and was upset that she didn't say anything back. Paige finally admits that she also loves him and wants to be with him.

We find out in the epilogue that Paige moved to Denver for Cannon and that they were doing good. He was even hinting at marriage and then that was it. That was all Kendall Ryan wrote. I hope we find out in another one of the books if they actually do get married or not and how their relationship is doing.

I enjoyed the book a lot. I like Kendall Ryan's writing styles and books very much. I also really enjoy books about siblings best friends and forbidden romance because of that. I look forward to the next book in the series coming out in a few months. Looks like it's a new couple that were not mentioned in the first book, but another siblings best friend book so I will probably love it.
